Foxtrot Oscar aims to create a safe and inclusive space where people can hang out, feel part of a community and connect over a shared passion for dance.
We want our class participants to express themselves through dance away from “the rule books”. We focus on making Ballroom and Latin dance fit for the 21st century by deconstructing the gender stereotypes and homophobia traditionally embedded within couple dancing, and making the ballroom world fairer for everyone, particularly young women and marginalised identities.
Our classes prioritise diversity and inclusion, by welcoming everyone (whether they be solo or with a partner) and providing the opportunity for everyone to learn both the follow and lead steps if they so wish.
